Just avoid using terms deemed racist in real life. Pretty much. Why does the CCP legal team work with CCP staff instead of CSM? Can't we drop restrictions for this particular environment?
There's nothing to stop people roleplaying someone who's prejudice as long as it's in keeping with the game, i.e. directed at the character and not the person behind the character.
Although roleplaying in such a way always runs the risk that someone will take it personally regardless of your intent. Have to wonder if it's even worth the risk.
Seen roleplayers roleplaying in this manner in another game in relation to PvP, tends to lead to a fairly crappy feel in relationship to the community as it becomes more like gangs and gang mentality. |

No prejudice there, that's just a cultural difference. |

So, I guess it's hard to see where CCP's morals/ethics are really at. If they allow that, then anything else is OK.

That's unfortunately something that happens often in gaming communities, probably due to the anonymity and people thinking that a game environment makes it ok to disparage people. It's still a serious concern though, and if I were you I would ask for the ticket to get escalated. The GMs do their best to get to all the tickets sorted but I think they get swamped sometimes.
Yeah, sometimes the line between fantasy and reality becomes blurred for some people. But iirc (without looking) CCP have provided for this in the EULA, along the lines of RP can't be used as an excuse. |
